1. Newblog2011: 10/01/11 The Women's Lunch Place in Boston, MA has Sold Out
The Women’s Lunch Place has been in existence for years. It has always been at 67 Newbury Street.
It’s true that the place is a sell-out as of 2011.
Next I’ve put the first part of what it says on its mission statement, including its motto “Dignity Is Everything.” I’ve also put into bold print some of the lies now being told by the Women’s Lunch Place.

“The Women’s Lunch Place
Dignity Is Everything
Mission

After the WLP’s statements about its respect for women, there’s a list of services it provides.
People who read my blog all summer might remember that I mentioned that the usual location of the WLP at 67 Newbury Street was undergoing rebuilding, and that the WLP was temporarily being hosted at the Old South Church.
The rebuilding of the Women’s Lunch Place was completed a couple of weeks ago.
The plans for the rebuilding are drawn on two signs that are on a bench built into the wall in the basement.
Here are the notes I took about one of them about a week ago:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--WLP—redone
plans on a bench
the left one—shows plans, plus a picture of the place before the rebuilding—the picture shows a wet floor sign next to the wall in the back of the picture.
At the bottom of the sign, it says:
“Lawrence K. Fish
Former Chairman and CEO
Of Citizens Bank”
And
“Hannah M. Grove
Executive Vice President, Head of Global Marketing
At State Street”
That’s also next to the name, “The Women’s Lunch Place,” with its motto “Dignity Is Everything.”

Hannah Grove is, according to her State Street Corporation profile on the Internet, on the board of the Women’s Lunch Place.
She is also the Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of the State Street Corporation.
Here’s what the State Street profile of her says:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Hannah Grove
Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer
Hannah Grove is executive vice president of State Street Corporation and Chief Marketing Officer. In this position, Ms. Grove leads the brand, media relations, employee communications, creative, content, and event management teams across the company. Under Ms. Grove’s leadership, the global team supports the company’s revenue growth, customer acquisition and retention, and serves to positively influence all constituencies’ understanding of State Street.
Prior to joining State Street in 1998, Ms. Grove was marketing director for the Money Matters Institute, a collaborative between the United Nations and the World Bank that sought to foster sustainable development in emerging economies.
With dual citizenship of both the UK and the US, early in her career Ms. Grove owned and operated a public relations company in London, England. She came to the US as communications director of the World Economic Development Congress in Washington, DC.
Ms. Grove serves as a member of the board of the Women’s Lunch Place, a daytime community in Boston for poor and homeless women and their children."

Who knows if Ms. Grove, as a member of the board of the Women’s Lunch Place, sought the participation of Mr. Fish of Citizens Bank in order to corrupt the Women’s Lunch Place, or in what other way their alliance took place?
In any case, corruption it is, and has been reflected as such in some of what has happened there even in the few months since I first got to Boston and started going there.
