2. Newblog2011: 08/04/11 $104, 000 to repair 2 elevators? Also; the guy who said it cost $36,000 to repair his elevator maybe didn't know that I had a birthday in July. I'm 37 now.
The "Talk of the Town section has 3 articles in it:
The first one is:
"Going up?"
Here's what the article says:
"Barre--When it comes to elevators, Mayor Thomas Lauzon says he feels the Barre Historical Society's pain. Perhaps we should explain. This week, Chet Briggs, president of the local historical society--the nonprofit organization that owns Barre's nationally recognized Old Labor Hall--told city councilors that the recent flooding disabled the elevator at the Granite Street structure.
Although the initial estimate for repairs was $68,000, Briggs told councilors he is hopeful the historical society can significantly trim that bill, and it may well receive a helping hand from a local labor union in Massachusetts that is organized under the auspices of the International Association of Elevator Contractors.
Enor Lauzon, who lost an elevator of his own in late-May flooding that hammered downtown Barre, including the former bank building Lauzon is in the process of renovating at the corner of North Main and Elm streets. Though the repair bill was significantly smaller than the Labor Hall's, Lauzon said it still stung to pay $36, 000 to repair a day-old elevator that no one had ever ridden in."
The second article is:
"Pepperoni planning?"
The third article is:
"A fine mess."
There was one night of flooding a few months ago, and that's it. As I've said before, the shelter that I've been living in is right next to a large section of that river; we were only out for one night, and when we went back to the house, everything was working again within a day. I don't think that even the laundry machines in the basement suffered any damage; the ones that aren't working now are the ones that weren't working great before.
Here's what I have to say to everyone who is trying to profit off of the harassment of me:
STOP LYING, AND STOP STEALING!!!!
AND STOP HARASSING ME!!!
