It doesn’t seem to me that child abuse of any kind is “innovative.” It seems to me that child abuse has always been a problem, in every society, and that it, like many abuses toward adults, is something that took centuries to be recognized. It seems as if even in the last century, child abuse still went unrecognized for a long time.
There’s nothing innovative about what’s been happening; not at all. It's also not some great resurrection of a past, good tradition; it is evil and sick and nothing more.
