3. Newblog 2011: 10/14/11 Music
I’ve realized that one of the reasons that my bad mood seems to be going into Permanent Mode is that I haven’t listened to music often in a long time. Especially sitting in front of the computer, when things can take a long time to upload; actually, all of the documentation of these issues is tedious in addition to the issues themselves being horrible, depressing and infuriating.
Some songs are good songs. There are also times when listening to the same song over and over again deals with my need for music without being distracting, although that’s not what I was doing yesterday. Yesterday, I didn’t think I should take time to try to talk about other music choices that I might make while trying to keep myself from going INSANE while working on the Internet.
If I start skipping around to other songs, or if I listen to the same song over and over again, it’s because I need to be listening to music. I’ve been turning into the very picture of the dour activist, and that won’t do.
For people who are reading here who don’t know what I’m talking about; everyone who illegally watches what I do on the Internet can watch all the songs that I pick out and listen to, also. I shouldn’t be having to explain any of that, either.
Privacy. PRIVACY!!!!
Also; I can't take responsibility for every last lyric in every song. Many of the songs that I'm going to listen to were written before The Bad Situation started. Even with more recent songs, it's not reasonable to ask that of me, that I watch every lyric of every song that I listen to before I listen to it, so as not to be accused of sending hidden messages or showing support for things that I don't support.
There’s also no connection between the music that I choose to listen to and the people who created that music and their participation or not in the issues now. It’s not as if I’m paying for it, and it certainly doesn’t mean I support their behavior, if they’re involved. Many of them, I probably won’t even look up to see what their thoughts are on those issues.
I can’t go without music anymore; I will Lose It.
Everybody knows how I feel about the issues.
Some of what I listen to will probably be songs that I was thinking of putting in a movie script I started writing a couple of years ago. I got some of the scenes written, and had the main idea for the movie in my mind, and that was all I got done before I got distracted by CelebrityVille, after which Evil struck and my time got taken up with that, instead.
It's ALSO not as if I'm displaying the songs I'm playing in public; they are being observed, illegally, by people who are abusive to me and to a lot of other people, too.
