1. Newblog2011: 10/25/11 Naked Video?/unhelpful lawyer/phone tapping by the conglomerate?
I tried to talk to the person in Vermont who has most often acted as my lawyer for the past several years.
He denied the entire situation I’m in. I asked him if he’d been reading my blogs; he said, “I wasn’t aware that you were still keeping a blog going.” That’s a total lie.
I told him “I’m famous now.” He denied that too, saying he “wasn’t aware” of it.
I said I thought that there might be videotape that was taken of me that I was never asked about and that I certainly never authorized. I asked him about hiring a private investigator who might be able to find out what’s going on, if anything is going on, with the thought that we could sue at least to keep the tape suppressed.
The conversation ended with him saying “You’d need money to hire a private investigator.”
My feeling is this;
If I was videotaped without my consent, and if something like that ends up on the Internet for however many people will end up seeing it, it will most likely result in an amplified version of what I’ve already been going through for the past year and a half. There will be more harassment, with people jeering at me more, saying, maybe in so many words and maybe with actions “I saw you naked.” That would make getting through my day even more inconvenient than it already is.
It’s difficult for me to believe that the manager of that shelter or anyone else who makes management decisions for the shelter would consent to having guests of the place videotaped without their knowledge, especially in violating ways.
I can imagine who did it, if it happened.
However, I don’t love the idea of suing that shelter.
It seems to me that all I can do is wait to see if naked video of me shows up on the Internet or in the media, and then try to sue anyone or any service who publishes and/or distributes the video.
I guess I’m not sure why the same thing wouldn’t apply to TV shows and media reports and so on that try to slander me about it, either directly or indirectly. Besides, they're wasting their time. None of the jokes they could make about it would be as good as the ones I'd make about myself......it's always that way. All of the cruelty that all of those people have tried to inflict on me about jokes I made in passing about my teeth, hair, and skin and whatever else it's been; all of that has been an extremely mediocre imitation of my original jokes. I'm yawning. Should I not be yawning? Is this far too serious for me to yawn about?
This is all assuming that such video exists.
Here's a question I'm going to ask:
Last night, I saw at least 2 references in a news show that made me think that either the phone at the lawyer’s office is tapped or that every phone that I have used so far in Boston and Cambridge has been tapped. In the same news show, I saw a code story about a blonde, female “adult film star,” and then a reference in another story about “Good Samaritans.”
Did the conglomerate know since yesterday, when I talked to the guy who’s mostly been my lawyer for the past 10 years, that he doesn’t want to help me? Did the conglomerate know that since the time that I had that conversation with him yesterday, because the conglomerate has every phone that I could use or call tapped?
