3. Newblog2011: 08/04/11 Brian Williams: Why can't he stay with reporting the news?
Here are some captions from the NBC Nightly News Hour website tonight, at 5:27 p.m.:
Under an article that says “UN says famine has spread,” reported on by “NBC’s Kate Snow,” there are two more captions. One says:
“Famine in Somalia: How to help”
The other says:
“U.S. aid begins to trickle into Somalia”
Here are some more titles from the NBC Nightly News Hour website:
Latest headlines Schools dispute pits 'haves' against 'have-nots' In Memphis, there's a heated debate about the fairness of merging two districts with different levels of academic achievement. Msnbc.com's Miranda Leitsinger reports.
29,000 Somali children under 5 dead in famine
U.S. aid begins to trickle into Somalia
UN: $1 billion cleanup tab in Nigeria oil mess
Jury weighs fate of polygamist in child-rape case
Va. Tech lockdown lifted; no gunman found
Syria steps up violent crackdown against opponents
Buddhists liberate 534 lobsters near Boston
Conservationists: Work underway on controversial Mekong River dam
Police: Norway killer refuses to discuss associates
Another caption on the page says:
"Syrian tanks thrust into Hama."
Here's what I have to say about this;
There's no room for debate about child molestation. There's no reason that any children should be getting molested.
The interspersing of things that are somewhat legitimate news with things that are only there to be harassing and to support the degradation and abuse of women and children; why can't he and everyone else who does that kind of thing stay with reporting the news, and not exploit their jobs which are supposed to be about informing the public?
