I've been getting stalked by the Barre police today. On my way back to the shelter tonight, a police SUV drove by me into a parking lot in front of me, turned around, and drove back toward me and past me. Then, a minute later, the same SUV drove past me and up the street to my right. It drove past me again a minute later, and then a minute after that, a police officer on a bike rode up the street in front of me.
In the midst of that, one of the neighborhood kids who was part of that gang from a couple of months ago yelled “JUICY” at me from a porch on Summer Street. He was sitting next to one of his friends.
I thought that the police were supposed to have taken care of that; I thought that the police were supposed to stop those kids from harassing me. That's what I was told by the police when I first reported it to them.
It's not the first time that I saw a police SUV stalking me today, either. Hopefully, I will get time to write about that later tonight.

There is a priority issue that I need to write about.
There is a large banner on the front of Aubochon Hardware in Barre. The banner says:
“BARRE YOUTH FOOTBALL
www.BYSAfootball.com
All equipment supplied
REGISTER NOW!”
A smaller banner below it says:
“1st through 8th graders
Register for evening camp now!”
There are grills lined up in a row on the sidewalk in front of the banner. The first grill has the following signs and language on it:
“Infrared Char-Broil
Magnum 340 Infrared
2-Burner Gas Grill
$289.99”
The sticker on the built-in shelf along the side of the grill says:
“CHAR-BROIL QUANTUM
GRILLING'S JUICY LITTLE SECRET”
Then there's a picture of rare, red, cooked meat.
It goes on to say:
“MORE FLAVOR
The Char-Broil QUANTUM uses natural infrared heat that locks in food's natural juices for moist, flavorful results.
NO FLARE-UPS
Providing even temperatures across entire surface.
No more cold or hot spots.
SUREFIRE RELIABILITY
Electronic ignition at each burner for a reliable start every time.
LIMITED LIFETIME BURNER WARRANTY
Burners are (it either said “patented” or “protected,” my handwriting is terrible and I couldn't read the word in my notes. I also often try to take notes quickly in case the owners or managers walk over to me to try to hassle me) and warranteed for life.
SPACE-SAVING DESIGN
Side shelves fold for easy storage
Perfect for small parties
CHAR-BROIL QUANTUM SPECS
465 Square inches of total cooking area
2 stainless steel burners
2 grate-level temperature gauges”
Then there's a picture of a phone, with a caption that says:
“Call now for a quick audio tour!
1-800-643-6986.”

I don't support pedophilia, and I have never meant to indicate that I do.
I don't support anything that Aubochon Hardware is doing, or that anyone who is endorsing pedophilia is doing, whether it's meant by the promoters of it as a joke or not. Nobody can think that it's a joke now, or that it's not having serious consequences.

--There is a red convertible on the front lawn of the Aldrich Library. The sign in the front windshield says “Win This Car.”
--The United States is a bigoted country. It has never been anything but bigoted. It is a country whose economy wouldn't have developed nearly as quickly as it did from its beginning without slavery. Along with slavery, a myopic way of thinking and getting through life developed in the American psyche which allowed the intellectual ideals of freedom and equality to coexist with the most brutal and pernicious of prejudices.
Some gains have been made toward equality, all of which have been getting rapidly destroyed over the past year. It seems to me that our government is only part of the problem. Corporations which, decades ago, transferred labor and other production to companies which were more overtly tolerant of human rights abuses than the United States were supposed to be got rich and powerful that way, and now those corporations and others like them want to impose their dictatorship upon the populations of 1st World countries, also.
I wonder if anyone thinks that what's happening is going to stop at oppression of and violence toward women, children, and everyone except for white, heterosexual men. It won't stop there. It will lead dto men enslaving other men in all but name, and maybe in name too, eventually; why wouldn't that happen? Look at what's already happened.
If there are governments anywhere in the world that believe in the principles of equality and freedom, now is the time for those governments to strive to be relevant and to avoid any more steps in the path of turning into nothing more than corporate servants and administrators of corporate policy.
--A large, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters van has been parked next to the Salvation Army for weeks. On the back, it has an advertisement for “Single Origin Colombian Fair Trade Select.” It says:
“Classically balanced, vibrant and complex with a splash of ripe fruit.”
I've said before, and I'm saying it again now, that constantly referring to genitalia and genital functions is sexual harassment and it is degrading, whether the references are meant to be positive or negative.
I've taken notes about the van before, always meaning to write about it online. A very short distance up the same hill are the police and fire stations. Every day, the people who work at those stations drive by that ad on the back of the van, which reinforces the harassment in their minds.
Yesterday, I also saw that an orange “Caution” cone, the type that's meant to be used along the road, had been placed behind the van on the side that had the ad. That seems to be the next stage of harassment; people who don't have Wet Floor signs or who can't find a way to justify putting them outside were there couldn't possibly be any wet floor, have started to use the orange Caution cones instead.
I took my notes, and then I couldn't help spitting my gum on the ground as close to the van as possible. Then I kicked the gum toward the van, which was difficult because once the gum made contact with my shoe it decided that it liked my shoe a lot. I finally got the gum off my shoe and directed toward the van, and then, as I walked away, I spit on the side of the van.
It probably wasn't the politest way to protest the issues; however, the harassment is really disgusting and has been going on for far too long. Who are these people, with their signs and their comments, to think that they have the right to bully me? There is nothing in my life, public, private, or any combination, that has ANYTHING TO DO WITH THEM. There is nothing that I do or have ever done that hurts them or impedes their ability to get through the day. The malice of them makes me sick to my stomach; I have never been like those people, not to anyone. I have never joined some large group of people to try to attack one person day after day after day.
A woman who was probably an employee of the store saw me spit my gum and looked less than happy about it.
It's also not unlikely that someone at either the police or fire station saw me spit out my gum and spit on the van.
Earlier today, before I got stalked by the police on my way back to the shelter, I had gone to try to find some privacy and quiet. I wasn't bothering anyone or doing anything wrong. A police SUV showed up. It was around for a few minutes and then it left.
Later in the afternoon, I saw another orange Caution cone, in a place where it served no purpose except to be harassing. I kicked it over, and about a half-hour later, I was being stalked by either the same SUV from earlier today or another one, and then the police on the bike.
It seems as if the police were out looking for me today, waiting to see me do something that they thought would give them an excuse to arrest me.
More signs have been added next to the “We Dig Barre” gamecard signs in the windows of some of the storefronts. The new signs say “Little Diggers”. I didn't look closely at them; it looks as if it's something for children.

--I noticed that almost immediately after I reported seeing a row of chocolate bars in a convenience store that all had seemingly new price logos that said “69” cents on them, a number of gas stations in Barre changed their gas prices to say “3.69 9/10” on the large signs outside their stores.
There are times when I have to go into convenience stores, and that will still be true. I am on foot all the time. Sometimes I need to buy food or to use a restroom. Also, since the Aldrich Libraray got a Do Not Trespass order against me, after bullying me continuously and viciously, and increasing their bullying all the time, I don't have access to the newspapers and magazines that the library has available for people to read. Unless I can get to the Montpelier library, which is 3 hours away on foot, I can't read more than some of the front page of most of the newspapers, and I only have any access to them in stores that carry them.
If my moments of being comprehensive in my understanding of what's going on in the media have been greatly reduced since I was disallowed from being on the premises at the Aldrich Library, that's why.
Slaves weren't allowed to learn to read or write; this is similar, I think.
The corporations which supply gas and other commodities to those convenience stores, and anyone else who's involved in perpetuating the various issues should stop doing what they're doing. They should stop doing it because it's wrong. They shouldn't need another motivation.
--The other day, I saw a Budweiser sign in a storefront that said something about supporting veterans with a program called “Folds of Honor.” I just looked up “Budweiser Folds of Honor” online and went to its website. It says:
“Folds of Honor salutes the sacrifice of fallen and disabled service members by ensuring their families are not left behind.”
It's every possible kind of slur, with the exception of saying something about my being Jewish. Maybe they just forgot, or couldn't find a way to incorporate a Jewish slur, since it's so crowded with slurs already.
