4. Newblog2011: 10/17/11 No matter what you call it, it’s fascism
Yesterday, I walked out of a building that I’d been in for more than an hour. As soon as I walked out of the building, a red truck that said “LOBSTAH LOVE” on it barreled up the other side of the street across from where I was and drove through a parking lot on the other side of the street from where I was.
Within a few minutes, a helicopter flew over me.
I also seem to have been getting stalked repeatedly, in the past few days, by the “GRILLLED CHEESE NATION” truck that has, at times in past months, been parked next to the Boston Public Library. I mean that the truck has driven past me going one way while I'm walking, nowhere near the library. Then, within minutes, it's back, going the other way. Then, hours later, I see it pull up in the lane next to the sidewalk when I'm about to cross the street.
Here’s what I have to say about all of that:
Leave me alone about my vagina, and stop threatening me. This is the United States, and everything that’s been happening is exactly what’s not supposed to happen here. It’s not supposed to happen anywhere; it is what democracy was created to avoid and, if necessary, to combat.
