--I have only one second this morning to write this; everyone's supposed to be out of the shelter at 7:00 a.m.
I'm still wondering if the government froze all the funding for the housing program "Pathways to Housing" as soon as I'd applied for it. I applied for it from the hospital, and after I'd applied for it, I was told that the funding was frozen. I'd never heard of the program before; I'd been told to apply for it by my social worker at the hospital, and she wasn't the only person with some familiarity with the program who was surprised to hear that it was frozen.
If the government did freeze all the funding for that program, which has been frozen until early winter of 2012, it means that the government has been so determined to ruin my life that it has denied housing not only to me through that program, but also to everyone else who applied for it.
--I was within my rights as a patient at the hospital to make requests about my food; it was something I was advised to do by staff when I'd objected to some of the menu after a few weeks. The dietitian is certainly not the only staffperson there who doesn't respect patients and tries to abuse them; it's a terrible place.

--Pathways to Housing
One thing I didn't mention this morning, in my hurry to leave the shelter on time, was that the process for applying to Pathways to Housing and finding housing through that program is reportedly very short, under normal circumstances. People get apartments within a month or so.
If the funding for the program hadn't been frozen, I could have been living in an apartment for the past few months. It most likely would have been much easier for me to find a job that way, and, of course, I wouldn't have had to deal with as much harassment where I live as I had to deal with for the first several weeks that I was at the shelter. Maybe I still would have been harassed in an apartment building or by people on the street, but I'm sure that I would have had less to deal with if I'd been living in my own place since soon after I got out of the hospital.

--I took the bus into Montpelier today. There was a loud, male cough from the back after I sat down. A few minutes later, I heard a man at the back of the bus say, I suppose to his friend, “There are a lot of pretty, young girls around. I saw one the other day wearing a skirt, with no underwear.”
It seems to me that his comment signifies a transition from the implied to the explicit. A few weeks ago, I wrote online about that transition being on its way; I predicted it would happen as a result of everything that the big harassers have done over the past year and a half.
I was sitting almost at the front of the bus, and that guy was at the back of the bus. I don’t have any reason to believe that the bus driver didn’t hear the comment, but he said nothing about it.
There were some other coughs and some implied comments of harassment from a few other passengers around the bus before it reached its destination. I think that everyone on the bus was male, besides me and a woman sitting in front of me who seems to be part of the homeless/impoverished population, and who did some coughing and made some comments, also.
--Since I had the moment in the library in which I got upset with the director’s collusion in my being harassed, both of the bathrooms at the Kellogg Hubbard Library in Montpelier have had signs that say:
“Our Apologies
Due to recent vandalism, the bathroom key must now be obtained from the front desk. Please return the key directly to the desk after use, do not pass it on to other patrons.
Thank you.”
Today, I looked at the interiors of both bathrooms. I got the key for the first one, and then on my way out of that bathroom I saw a patron of the library who had the key for the other bathroom. I asked him if I could look at the other bathroom before he used it, and he let me do that.
There’s been no vandalism done to either of those bathrooms; none that I could see, anyway.

Today, I looked up some websites for Planned Parenthood. The website for Planned Parenthood of Southern New England has pictures at the top of the page of things such as a woman holding her finger under her nose and a black woman with her arm around an Asian woman with water and a bridge in the background.
What I didn’t see on the website for Planned Parenthood of Southern New England was the notice that the website for Planned Parenthood of Northern New England has on its website, which says:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
New Hampshire Defunds Planned Parenthood The NH Executive Council voted to reject a routine contract renewal with Planned Parenthood of Northern New England. Now PPNNE will no longer receive federal or state funds for critical health care services.
Get Involved
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It doesn’t seem to me that even Planned Parenthood of Northern New England has previously been entirely supportive of what I had to say about what the results were going to be of what the big harassers were doing.
Maybe at least some of Planned Parenthood is figuring it out now.
