8. Newblog2011: 08/07/11 The Shelter--Continuing Issues
There's supposedly been another ultimatum at the shelter over the past week that nobody here is supposed to be harassing me, coughing at me, making comments, and so on, or we all get kicked out.
I don't like that kind of ultimatum much. First of all, the shelter itself is still promoting my being harassed. For example, there's a can of Fabreze in the office window, turned outward so that the label on it that says “Summer and Splash” is visible to people in the hallway.
The little, orange “Caution” road cone that someone bought and put on the ledge next to the first desk in the office is still there.
How is any of that fair?
The former Marine's ex-girlfriend is still doing her coughing routine at night and early in the morning.
There have been other issues. More than one of the residents still does the coughing thing.
I've never DONE ANYTHING TO THESE PEOPLE; the only time I've ever had words with them is when they abuse me, harass and provoke me.
The way things are now, I still get harassed.
I would prefer it if the shelter did away with ultimatums, had a real no-harassment policy, and dealt with situations individually as they occurred.
