9. Newblog2011: 07/21/11 Another Way...to sell women and children into degradation and abuse?/"Circle" non-profit agency/Verizon
I was much disappointed several weeks ago, by the older, female staffmember at Another Way whom I said had been helpful in establishing a sign-up sheet for the computer there. After I had had a decent conversation with the director, and had told him that she’d been helpful, I ran into her. She was going to her car. We said hello, and then she blatantly rubbed her nose a few times. Then she looked at her car and said “I didn’t lock my keys in my car, did I? That would stink.”
I’ve been meaning to write about that for a while. It happened before I had written anything else about Another Way.
This morning, I went back to Another Way for the first time in quite a while. I saw the same, older female staffperson walking with one of the patrons of the place. He was the guy who had stood over me one day, screaming “You’re going to apologize for calling me a loser!” after I told him to leave me alone, AFTER he had started screaming at me for my objections to his sitting behind me and making continuous, repetitive comments about “a slice of cheese.” When I finally objected, he said he’d been talking to someone else about “the food budget for the house.” How many food budget discussions involve talking about one slice of cheese.
As readers might recall, that is a standard tactic for the people there who are interested in harassing me; they stand or sit behind me and pretend to be talking about something else while they make as many harassing comments as possible. That guy was only the first one to become threatening at Another Way; the second time it happened, with a different, older guy who made it his obsession both to harass me and to get me kicked out, I ended up calling the police after he freaked out, grabbed a chair and threw it down again, yelling “There, see what you did? You made me angry; are you happy now?” He didn’t stop yelling at me from a few feet away, while I said absolutely nothing, until I called the police. Then I was made to leave; I was the one who wasn’t allowed back for that day and the entire weekend until the appointment on the next Monday which the director gave over the phone, without having spoken to me at all about what had happened.
Today, the front door had two signs. One said:
“Another Way
Closed Until 1:00 p.m.”
The other sign said:
“IMPORTANT!

Pizza was served today at the church where the discussion took place. I don’t think that I need to go into detail about how many churches in Vermont have been involved both in promoting the degradation of women and child sexual abuse.
As for Ms. Kuhner and Mr. McArthur; “Circle” used to be called “Battered Women’s Service and Shelter” in Washington County. Its website says: “Circle wants to thank the Verizon foundation for its support in creating this website.”
Today, the official Verizon website starts with a phone that has a picture of a beach on it. The Samsung Galaxy Tab is being sold for $69.99.
Its smaller picture in the row of rotating pictures is next to the “Back To School Sale” small picture. The “Back To School” enlarged picture says “Conquer The Classroom” at the top of the page, and is selling the Droid 3 and the Experia Play, for $199.99 and $99.99, respectively.
