There is a sign-up sheet for the Internet at the shelter.
I signed up for 9:00 p.m..
At 9:00 p.m., one of the male residents was still on the computer.
I went over to him and said, quietly and politely, "It's 9:00 p.m., and I signed up for 9:00 p.m.."
Then I walked several feet away and watched TV for a few minutes, to give him time to complete his activities and sign off.
After those few minutes, I looked back and saw that he was pulling up new websites on the Internet rather than making any effort to sign off. I walked over to him after he had just pulled up a website for finding Asian girls to date and said "It's 9:00 p.m. and I'm signed up for now."
He said "I'll be off in a minute."
I said "It's my turn now."
He pointed his finger in my face and screamed at me "DON'T YOU START YOUR F---IN' ATTITUDE WITH ME!!"
This is what more than a year of sexual harassment by the big harassers has wrought; it has wrought men who think that women have an "attitude" for exercising their own rights, that women are wrong when they object to being abused.
