2. Newblog2011: 07/26/11 Police Stalking Me?
Last night, on my Weebly blog page entitled 5. Newblog2011: 07/25/11 "What's up, Juicy?"/ and the Barre police station, I wrote about having been harassed by a young teenager on the street in my neighborhood. From across the street, he called out “What’s up, Juicy?” which is what he and other young, male teenagers in that neighborhood have called me on other occasions. It hasn’t always just been them calling me names, which itself has been an ongoing issue. The second time that there was a problem, a bunch of them got on their bikes and were racing after me. I’m pretty sure that they were planning to do more than call me names on that day.
The Barre police were supposed to prevent the situation from continuing; that’s what they said they would do, and they haven’t put a stop to it.
On the same blogpage, I also wrote about the Barre Police Station and its overt support for child molestation, sexual harassment and degradation of women.
A few minutes after 7:00 a.m. this morning, I was standing on the sidewalk in front of the shelter. The rule at the shelter is that everyone has to be out at 7:00 a.m., so usually there are some residents in front of the shelter a few minutes after 7:00 a.m; that's most likely common knowledge to anyone who is familiar with the shelter as the police certainly are. The bus also goes by the shelter soon after 7:00 a.m..
This morning, almost as soon as I walked out of the shelter, a Barre police car drove by, slowly.
About 10 minutes later, I was sitting at the bus stop around the corner and a state police car drove by.
About 10 minutes after I’d gotten on the bus, I looked out the window and saw a state police car slowly passing by the bus beneath my window.
Later this morning, when I left the Department of Libraries at about 11:30 a.m., I saw a Montpelier police car drive slowly by, going in the opposite direction to me as I walked toward Another Way.
