More from the windows of Nelson's Ace Hardware:
On the window near one of the front doors that has the New York Life Child ID program sign on it, there are two small signs, among many of the signs on the windows.
One sign says:
“GRANDMA'S LYE SOAP
Sold Here
Best for Dry, Itchy Skin and Psoriasis”
That sign is below one that says:
“GERBER
FEND FOR YOURSELF”
The logo on the GERBER sign is a sword that's halfway in some mountains or some rock.
Some of what's in the displays of the windows are as follows:
--A bag of Kingsford Charcoal as part of a barbecue display, with a red chair
--A camping display that features a poncho and “Heavy Duty Water Repellent” among its items in the front. That display also has a hat that says “Catch of the Day” with a fisherman on it.
--Barbie and Spiderman lunchboxes next to a set of coat hangers. That's in a display that also has stain remover, Tide plus Downy laundry detergent and other detergents, a laundry basket, more coat hangers next to something that says “Wonder Hanger,”
--That display goes on to show twist tie garbage bags, one in a purple box and one in a pink box, next to 3 packages of “Fresh & Clean Scented Wipes.” There's “Softsoap odor-neutralizing Kitchen Fresh Handsoap,” and Bounty Kitchen Paper Towels with the motto “One Sheet Keeps Cleaning!”
The green, “Granite Center of the World” banner is still where it was when that window had the Spain-themed display including a doll with her legs open to her underwear and cookbooks showing fish on the cover that I wrote about on Weebly a while ago. The displays from that day are gone, replaced with what I'm describing now.
Turned to the side, in the corner of the display, are 2 chairs. One chair has a green pillow and a brown pillow on it. The other chair has a green pillow on it and a sign that says “Stanley Cup Champions—Boston Bruins.” In front of the 2 chairs is a red, travel water bottle that says “Non-toxic plastic, BPA-FREE” There's another travel mug near it; it's blue, and it says “COPCO” on it.
Here's something that I've had trouble understanding from the beginning. How is it that anyone can think that people who have endorsed both child molestation and the worldwide degradation of women, who have spent untold numbers of hours over the past year and a half thinking of gross things to put on their blogs, in their movies, and in articles about themselves, and who seem to do almost nothing with their time but think of specific, sexual slurs to say about other people; how can anyone think that such people are somehow “cleaner” than I am?
That's the kind of thing that I'm tired of; I think anyone with half a brain would be.
I hate writing about these things. I've always hated it. If the people who promote these kinds of issues would stop promoting them, my life would be much happier. It's one day after another of the same, horrible, mindless, heedless things.
