1. Newblog2011: 10/13/11 "BAZIC"
Today, I went to the first computer that I saw available, and had been using it for a half-hour before I noticed what number it was.
Also; I have a list of projects that I wanted to get done today, and will only probably have time to complete one of them, if I even am able to get that one done.
I went to the library this morning because something happened and I knew that I was going to have to write about it.
The backpack that I bought a few weeks ago finally got so dilapidated that when I went to the Women’s Lunch Place today, I asked for some safety pins to pin it together. More than one staffperson said “We can probably give you a new one.”
The first one that someone brought out to me was green, and I told her “No.” I can only imagine what the conglomerate and everyone else who saw me would say about me if I started to carry a green backpack. She said “We only have 2 other colors; pink and bright purple. I don’t want to bring a bunch of them out here because then a lot of other people will start asking for them.”
I feel that I have successfully neutralized the color pink, so I said “Why don’t I go back into the room where they are with you, and we’ll decide that way?”
She went back into the room and was back out a few minutes later. She said “It’s hectic in there right now.” I said “Ok, purple.”
She went back into the room and brought out a new, purple backpack. It says “BAZIC” on it.
I knew I'd have to explain how I got that backpack, that the second I walked out of the Women's Lunch Place, it would be noticed, even by people who weren't around to read my writing online last year.
Also; it's too bad that I have to talk about things that go on at any of the shelters. As long as there are things that I have to explain because of being abused by the conglomerate, anything that happens that I have to talk about in order to try to stave off some of the abuse is something that I have to talk about.
I understand that backpacks can only be given out for emergencies, but there's no way that I could have gone anywhere in Boston today and not talked about how I got a backpack that says "BAZIC" on it.
This is not the project that I had on the list I made last night, to complete today; this was something I realized I needed to write about that happened today. Hopefully, I can get at least one of the projects on that list done today.
