I feel as if I should put "no code" here, this time. I'm doing that, but I won't do that again for any particular word on this page. I feel like I've written this the way it needs to be written, that it makes the most sense and has the most normal phrasing.
4. Newblog2011: 10/14/11 A thought I once had
There was a moment in my life when I wondered if psychics could solve crime. I don’t know if they can or can’t. I know that at the time when I was wondering if they could, it seemed to me that the police department in Burlington, VT couldn’t successfully investigate the interior of a paper bag.
I know that there was an FBI agent who wrote an angry letter to the newspaper Seven Days around the same time, and that something happened to the case he was writing about because of it; I think there was a motion for a mistrial or for the trial to be moved out of state. I think that his defense tried to say that the publicity from the FBI agent’s article was prejudicial.
